Hon. Temi Harriman, who was erroneously expelled by the Delta state chapter of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2015, has gotten apology from the party after a court judgment.
The APC wrongly expelling Harriman after a judgment delivered by Justice L. Oluyemi of Lagos High Court on June 22.
Consequently, every defendant in the suit: Chairman, Delta State APC, Mr. Jones Erue, and the Delta State Assistant Secretary of the party, Mr. Chris Onodjacha, who initiated a publication alleging that the state executive at a meeting on April 13, 2015, resolved to expel Harriman, among other persons, agreed that their decision was baseless.
In the suit, ID/ADR/86/15, instituted before justice Oluyemi against APC, the state chapter of the party reaffirmed its confidence on Harriman as leader of Delta APC.
“Accordingly, the expulsion is void ab initio,” the defendant said, adding that, “For the avoidance of doubt, notice is given to the public that Temi Harriman remains a bonafide member and a committed leader of the party.”
It would be recalled that, following the abysmal performance of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the 2015 general election in Delta state, the party’s State Executive Committee (SEC) in a statement announced the expulsion of, Hon. Temi Harriman, former state commissioner, Dr. Alex Ideh and Organising Secretary of the party, Mr. Sunny Amorighoye Mene, Mr. A. S. Mene, over allegations of gross misconduct and anti-party politics.
